In the 6f Class 2 Steward's Cup (3:35), Orazio heads the betting for the Charlie Hills team. The four-year-old recorded a double when scoring an easy two-and-a-quarter victory at Ascot over six furlongs on soft ground and possibly found conditions too quick when a beaten favourite subsequently. The predicted going will suit and he is a worthy favourite, despite the yard only achieving two winners in the last fourteen days.

Of the longer priced runners, Mums Tipple makes plenty of appeal. Always remembered for his eleven length juvenile success in a York sales contest, the six-year-old has been racing well in competitive handicaps but falls short of Listed company. Six furlongs appears to be his best trip these days, although he did break through for a Chelmsford success over seven in March. He finished well in the Wokingham Stakes when one-and-a-half lengths back in fourth and another bold bid is anticipated.

WIN: MUMS TIPPLE

In the 1m6f Group 2 Lillie Langtry Stakes, Free Wind will be looking to get back to winning ways following a defeat in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes. She had returned after a near-year-long absence with a success in the Group 2 Middleton Stakes, beating Rogue Millenium who boosted the form by taking the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. It will be the five-year-old's first run at a staying trip since winning the 1m6f½f Group 2 Park Hill Stakes and a return to form is expected.

Tom Ward's Luisa Casati could be interesting stepping up in distance for the first time. She beat the re-opposing Time Lock over ten furlongs in the Listed Daisy Warwick Stakes at the track in May yet was unable to make any impact in the Group 2 Lancashire Oaks subsequently. It was interesting to see that the five-year-old mare stayed on in the closing stages indicating the additional stamina test will be a positive.

WIN: LUISA CASATI

Course and distance form could be key in the 6f Coral Stewards' Sprint Handicap (Consolation Race For The Stewards' Cup) (1:50) with Paul and Oliver Cole's Many A Star looking for a first success since winning this race twelve months ago. The six-year-old gelding has been disappointing in two starts this season but he's probably better on easier ground conditions these days. The first-time tongue tie could spark further improvement.

Harry and Roger Charlton's Zaman Jemil is expected to be well-supported in the market following a comfortable Thirsk win. He has the assistance of jockey Ryan Moore, who boasts a 24% strike rate from the last fourteen days and boasts a strong career record with two wins and three placings from eight starts. There is still plenty of room for progression from the son of Invincible Spirit and must be considered.

WIN: MANY A STAR
