Sam King returns with two selections for this evening's action at Wolverhampton.

Aviary makes enough appeal to suggest he may be worth chancing in the Stay Golden With BetMGM Safer Gambling Handicap (Div 2) (6.00).

Adrian Wintle's mare signified a return to form could be on the cards when sixth over course and distance fifteen days ago. She stayed on nicely in the closing stages without being given an overly hard time once her winning chance had gone and a 1lb drop in the weights will do no harm.

A mark of 49 puts her 7lb lower than when winning on her only career outing over course and distance back in September last year and she's well-drawn to sit handy in stall two.

Later on the card, Renovate looks an interesting contender on his handicap debut in the Bet MGM: It's Showtime Nursery (7.30).

Trainer Ed Bethell has run just three horses (one winner) at Wolverhampton this season and the Dunstall Park venue could really suit his unexposed son of Showcasing. He showed bundles of early pace when dropped to five furlongs for the first time in a fairly competitive-looking Newcastle novice event earlier in the month and an opening mark of 65 may well prove within reach on his handicap bow.

Stall seven isn't exactly ideal, but he was nicely away at Newcastle last time and I'm expecting PJ McDonald to be positive out the gates. Two of the top three in the market have both run in the last week and at the current prices, the less exposed Renovate makes more appeal.
