Preakness Stakes winner Exaggerator has won his way to the Breeders' Cup Classic with victory in the Haskell Invitational with Nyquist fourth.

Exaggerator has won the Haskell Invitational with Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist a tiring fourth.

A little over two months ago in the Preakness, Exaggerator handed Nyquist his first loss and ended any chance of a Triple Crown.

Ridden by Kent Desormeaux at Monmouth Park on Sunday, Exaggerator stormed past Nyquist and American Freedom and cruised to a 1-1/2-length victory.

American Freedom finished second, with Sunny Ridge edging Nyquist for third.

With the win, Exaggerator clinched a spot in the field for the Breeders' Cup Classic on November 5.
