The 4YO son of War Front will travel to England on June 13 to prepare for nthe Queen Ane, a mile race carrying 600,000 pounds prizemoney..

“American Patriot breezed exceptionally well on Saturday, and came out of the work good. He’s doing really well, so it’s all systems go,” said trainer Todd Pletcher.

“It’s an honor to have a horse good enough to compete in one of the biggest races in the world like the Queen Anne, and on a stage like Royal Ascot.

"We are very much looking forward to it.”

Pletcher also confirmed that top European-based jockey Frankie Dettori will have the mount in the prestigious one mile turf event.

American Patriot breezed a bullet five furlongs in 60.4 seconds over the Belmont turf course in his most recent tune-up on June 3.

American Patriot enjoyed a good 3-year-old campaign in North America, capturing the G3 Kent Stakes at Delaware Park and placing in the G1 Secretariat S.takes on Arlington Million Day in Chicago.

This year he has emerged as one of top milers, winning a Gulfstream allowance race in his seasonal debut as a prep for his breakthrough G1 win in the Maker’s 46 Mile.

An earner of $475,050 to date from 5 wins in 11 starts, American Patriot’s plans call for him to return to the US following the Queen Anne to point for the Breeders’ Cup Mile .

American Patriot is a WinStar homebred that hails from the Tiznow mare Life Well Lived, a full sister to WinStar’s international star Well Armed.

Well Armed's 14-length win in the 2009 Dubai World Cup still stands as the largest margin of victory ever recorded in the 22-year history of the race.
