Arrogate Ready To Go At Del Mar

US champion Arrogate has had his final serious gallop ahead of Saturday’s $1 million Pacific Classic at Del Mar where he will attempt to put behind his abject last start failure.

Arrogate worked over five furlongs in one minute flat at Del Mar on Monday and ran out six furlongs i1:14.2, leaving trainer Bob Baffert pleased with his condition.

"He just cruised around," Baffert said. “We're set for Saturday."

Arrogate, North America’s highest ever stakes earner, lost some of his lustre when suffering a shock defeat in last month’s G2 San Diego Handicap at Del Mar.

The son of Unbridled’s Song finished fourth some 15 lengths behind the winner Accelerate, whom he will meet again on the weekend.
