The race gives points to the top four finishers that will help them earn a spot in the Kentucky Derby starting gates. The Holy Bull Stakes is named after Hall of Fame racehorse Holy Bull, and run at Gulfstream Park over a distance of 1 1/16 miles.

Grade 2 winner Mutasaabeq, who captured the Mucho Macho Man Jan. 2 in his season debut, and Grade 3 winners Pickin' Time and Sittin On Go are among a competitive field of  3-year-olds entered in the $200,000 Holy Bull (G3) on Saturday, Jan. 30 at Gulfstream Park.

Last year's Holly Bull was won by Tiz The Law. This exceptional 3-year-old went on to win the Florida Derby and Belmont Stakes before getting shaded into second in the Kentucky Derby by Authentic, who also beat him in the Breeders' Cup. This week's Longines horse ratings placed Authentic second, and Tiz The Law joint fourth best in the world for 2020.

The Holy Bull headlines a day of racing featuring five graded-stakes worth $600,000 in purses, which nclude the seven furlong $100,000 Claiborne Farm Swale for 3-year-olds; $100,000 Forward Gal, also contested at seven furlongs, and a pair of $100,000 turf events for 3-year-olds – the Kitten's Joy (G3) and the Sweetest Chant (G3) for fillies featuring stakes winners Con Lima, Dirty Dangle and Gulf Coast.
