Sunday sees the running of the Fuji TV Sho G2 for the 3yo at Nakayama and the Hanshin Daishoten over 3000m for the big boys and girls.

There are 10 3yos in the Nakayama race with Lemaire's ride Sixpence, by Kizuna favourite on 2.3. Others in the top part of the betting are Water Licht, a Drefong colt, on 4.3 and Pellegrini by Rey de Oro on 7.2 for Yasunori Iwata who celebrated his 50th birthday this week.  His son is giving him a run for his money these days but fortunately for Iwata-father the son isn't at Nakayama on Sunday.

At Hanshin the Daishoten is over 3000m for the older boys and girls and there will be 15 lining up.  Who knows – we may even see a Melbourne Cup runners here but in the meantime the favourite is T O Royal 0n 3.3 with Yutaka Take's ride Silver Sonic on 5.3 and Blow The Horn on 5.6.
