Saratoga Saturday hosts the two Grade Ones, the Flower Bowl and the Jockey Club Gold Cup.

It's the 44th running of the Flower Bowl over 2200m on the turf with 7 runners.  War Like Goddess, recent winner of the Gr2 Glens Falls is odds-on for Mott -Leparoux with the nearest in the market being Great Island on 4/1 for Brown-Rosario.

The Jockey Club Gold Cup has finally been moved to Saratoga and to this holiday weekend which is 8 weeks away from the Breeders' Cup.  Last year's winner Happy Saver is on 9/5 to defend his crown with Forza Di Oro on 8/5 and although there are only 6 starters we also like Max Player 5/2 for Asmussen-Santana.

At Del Mar the John C Mabee is Gr 2 for the f&m over 1800m om the turf with 9 runners.  Dogtage is on 3/1, Maxim Rate 7/2 and Going To Vegas 4/1.

The Del Mar Derby Gr 2 is also on the turf q800m and has 14 runners.  On top is Hudson Ridge for Baffert-Prat, Sword Zorro 5/1 for Sadler – Rispoli and both Zoffarelli and Flashiest are on 6/1.
