There's good weather and good racing on the program for this Friday.

The Group races start with the G3 Princess Royal over 2000m for f&m with 11 starters.  Albaflora is in good form and is on 9/4 for Ralph Beckett and Rossa Ryan with the Appleby-Buick Godolphin runner Sayyida on 11/2 and Jessica Harrington has sent over Forbearance who is on 6/1 with Shane Foley in the irons.

The Rockfel is G2 for the 2yo fillies over 1400m with 10 runners headed by Majestic Glory on 9/4.  Andrew Balding trains the Frankel colt and Ryan Moore will ride.  There are three horses on 5/1 here – Jumbly for Roger Charlton and Hollie Doyle, by Gleneagles, Osculo by Galileo Gold with William Buick riding for George Boughey and Girl On Film with Dettori riding the son of Dabirsim for Ralph Beckett.

The Joel Stakes G2 over 1600m sees the reappearance of Master Of The Seas who has been off the tracks since his second in the 2000 Guineas due to a setback.  He's reported to be doing well and Buick will ride for Appleby.  The other Godolphin runner is our old friend Benbatl on 11/4 with Oisin Murphy riding for bin Suroor and they are on 11/4.  Laneqash is another 3yo and is on 6/1.

Sad news overnight that Santa Barbara had to be put down when the fractured pelvis displaced.  She was a homebred for Aidan and Anne-Marie O'Brien.  Yesterday's news that she had suffered a set-back and was out of contention for the Breeders' Cup meant that Mother Earth was re-routed to America instead of her original booking for Sydney.
