That's because it is National Day and the G3 National Day Cup is the feature.  It's race 8 and is over the straight 1000m.

Stronger is the current favourite at 5.00 in what is quite an open race.   Vincent Ho will be on Stronger for Dougie Whyte and the jockey is hoping this race may see him get his 400th winner.  We think Sky Field is a bit of value on 12.00 for Caspar Fownes and Blake Shinn and Hong Kong Win is on 8.00 for Size-Moreira.  There are good arguments in favour of several other runners but we are going wide with our 4th pick in Valiant Dream on 27.00.

Race 7 is the Class 2 Beijing Handicap over 1400m and it looks as if Mister Snowdon will start favourite on 2.6 for Whyte-Chadwick.  Sight Success is on 3.8 for Size-Moreira and we thought Californiadeepshot would be shorter but at present is on 6.5.
