It's supposed to be an international race and pays 1-10 so a shame there are no raiders here but it has been too difficult with Covid restrictions.

There's a close battle for favouritism between Danon Smash and Resistencia.  Both have great records and it should be a good go.  Pixie Knight has stayed steadily in third favourite spot on around 6.0 and Gendarme who is by Kitten's Joy and brings some American speed into the race, is just in single figures.

We are not sure how much rain they received on the track at Nakayama from the typhoon that swept through on Friday.

The record for the race is held by Lord Kanaloa and Danon Smash is one of his three offspring in the field.

There was a delightful picture during the week of Resistencia looking at her weight on the scales and seeming shocked by the figure!

Japan will be watching Paris tonight as Chrono Genesis and Deep Bond run in the Arc.
