It was Sprinters' Stakes day at Nakayama.

And this was a bit of an upset when the 3yo son of Maurice, Pixie Knight, never put a hoof wrong in winning his first G1.  He had shown speed in the Centaur Stakes and obviously has continued on from that.  Resistencia had a tough battle for second with roughie Shivaji on 47.5 for the minors.  Favourite Danon Smash was arguably disappointing finishing sixth.  The ground was good so no excuses for the beaten brigade.
