Great Day for the home team at Maroñas

The Longines Gran Premio Latino Americano saw a quinella for the Uruguayans.

The race was run in record time by Aero Trem, a Brazilian bred trained by Antonio Cintra who also saddled the second home Atletico El Culano.  The winner set a new track record and was ridden by Vagner Leal, with the second ridden by José Luis da Silva.

The Chilean Win Here was third and it proved lucky for jockey Hector Lazo who substituted for the original booked Luis Torres.

José Luis da Silva got his compensation when Demi Moore, also trained by Antonio Cintra, won the Longines Cup for the mares.
