The 3yo son of Epiphaneia won the Tenno Sho (Autumn) for 2021.

He showed both strength and speed as he stormed up the hill and through to the finish at Fuchu.

It wasn't too challenging to pick the first three as second home was Contrail and third Gran Allegria.

It has been a great year for Efforia who won the Satsuki Sho and then was just beaten in the Derby.  He looks like having a very good future ahead of him.

Nothing wrong with Contrail's performance either and at one stage it looked as if Gran Allegria was going to do it but she just lacked that final bit of oomph to get her over the line.

The winninng jockey was the third generation of his family to win the race! 

On Saturday there were 4 Epiphanea's in the Artemis for the 2yos and we went for two of them but missed the winner Circle of Life with Mirco Demuro riding with Bella Cresta second, and at Hanshin Danon Fantasy won the Swan Stakes from Sound Chiara (who was in our initial list and then dropped when the price went west) from Ho O Amazon and Rook's Nest.
