Aqueduct and Los Alamitos host Gr 1 races

At Aqueduct it is the Cigar Mile and Los Alamitos the Starlet for 2yo fillies.

Both races are Lasix free.  It's a tight market at the top for the Cigar Mile with Americanrevolution on 5/2 for Todd Pletcher and Luis Saez, with Independence Hall and Ginobli on 7/2.  We are leaning towards Ginobli here but without a great amount of conviction.

At Los Alamitos it's just 6 fillies lining up with 3 of them trained by Bob Baffert and we like two of them especially – Grace Adler on 9/5 and Eda on 2/1 with Prat and Hernandez the jockeys involved.

There seems to be more activity in the courts than on the tracks with Wesley Ward in a mega tussle with Ken Ramsey over training fees.  Ward wants to force the sale of the 14 Ramsay horses he is currently stabling to settle the outstanding debt or contribute to the settlement.  Ward claims that he arranged with Ramsay to pay $100,000 per month but that only happened once and that Ramsay will not allow his horses to be entered in races which would help a bit.  Ramsay had similar problems with Maker but reached some sort of settlement.
