That's less than Lord Kanaloa 15m yen ($190k) and Epiphaneia 18m yen ($225).

Just to put it in context the most expensive sire standing in Australia is I Am Invincible on $220k, with Fastnet Rock on $165K, Zoustar on $154K, Exceed and Excel on $132K and Pierro 110K.

So if you had a top mare and could arrange it a trip to Japan to visit the new boy could be a good investment.

Meantime back on the tracks this weekend we have the G2 Sports Nippon Sho for Stayers over 3600m at Nakayama on Saturday and the Champions Cup Gr 1 over 1800m dirt at Chukyo.

The stayers is very open with current fav Caudillo on 5.0 by King Kamehameha out of the lovely mare Dia De La Novia.  5.5 around for Tosen Cambina, 6.7 Iron Barrows and we have a roughie here purely on the name – Asti, 75.9, by Orfevre out of Queen Spumante.

The Chukyo race used to be the Japan Cup Dirt and followed the Japan Cup Turf.  This year the gorgeous Sodashi is trying to add a G1 dirt to her G1 turf and is favourite here on 3.0.  T O Keynes has a good record on the surface and is on 3.5 with last year's winner Chuwa Wizard on 8.3.  Our roughie here is Inti, who has been third the last two years and has had a similar prep this year and is value on 25.2.
