The top race in Argentina, it has been run since 1887.

It missed a couple of years and had various changes of name and venue but it is now firmly ensconced in San Isidro.

Several of the runners were seen recently out in the Latino Americano which was run in Montevideo recently, and they include Atletico El Culano who was second, Village King was 4th and Miriñaque 5th.  Novillero and Mapa Mundo also ran.

Last year's winner Cool Day is going for his second win after finishing on top last year, and his trainer Alfredo Gaitán Dassie is going for his 6th win of the trophy.
