The second round of the Carnival was, as expected, a good night for Godolphin.

They picked up the Al Rashidiyah with Desert Fire which gave young jockey Hector Crouch a first G2 and then the Al Fahidi Fort with Naval Crown.

The 1200m Dubawi Stakes went to Doug Watson's second horse Al Tariq (Canvassed had been favourite but finished 5th) by 2 lengths to Freedom Fighter and On The Warpath with Ibn Malik fourth.
