King of Koji defeated Meiner Fanrong by 1 ½ length at Nakayama in the G2 2200m race.

The winner was ridden by Norihiro Yokoyama and son Takeshi was on the third home Boccherini.

Over at Chukyo the G2 Tokai Stakes on the dirt over 1800m unfancied Suave Aramis on 15.7 finished ahead of Auvergne, Bullbear Iride and Sunrise Hope.
