Life Is Good – Life is VERY good.

The 4yo son of Into Mischief won the Pegasus World Cup G1 by 31/4 lengths.

He was taken to the front by Irad Ortiz and managed to keep a substantial lead even when the field tried to catch him in the straight.  That was his 5th win in 6 starts.  Now under the care of Todd Pletcher he was transferred to the East Coast after his original trainer Bob Baffert was suspended. He was heading to the Kentucky Derby last year but suffered a bone chip injury on the Left Hind and that was that and his then stablemate, Medina Spirit, whom he had beaten twice, was the first over the line.

Longines Horse of the Year Knicks Go was favoured to win for the second year running but it was not to be.  He is now retired and deserves a very happy retirement.

Earlier Colonel Liam had taken the Turf for the second year running over stablemate Never Surprised, and the F&M Turf went to Regal Glory in a dominant performance under Jose-Luis Ortiz so it was a good day for the Ortiz brother as Irad had also been on Colonel Liam.

The G2 Inside Edge went to Just One Time who started favourite from Four Graces and Jakarta.
