A one-eyed Kentucky Derby?

A horse called Un Ojo (One Eye) is on his way to the Kentucky Derby.

The one-eyed resident feline in the Whistlejacket stables has become very interested in this story and has asked that part of his piggy bank be dedicated to following this runner.

He came through showing great fighting qualities to win the Gr 2 Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn Park on Saturday which has given him the entry into the Kentucky Derby and 50 points to put him in second place on the qualifiers' list.

Trained by Ricky Courvoille he recently returned from holidays with Tony Dutrow in New York where he had featured in the Gr 3 Withers at Aqueduct but not as the winner.  The track at Oaklawn was wet going on wetter but Un Ojo put his head down and used his single eye to focus on the winning line and thus gained the win, overtaking Ethereal Road and Barber Road in the last yards.
