Well the boys get a look in with the Florida Derby.

But the girls feature in the Hillsborough Gr 2 over 1800m turf for the f&m 4+.  Since it's on turf we have to give the nod to Bleaker Street 2/1 from Chad Brown's yard with H. Diaz riding.  The Canadians are in town of course and the Atfield trained Lady Speightstown is on 5/2 with Emma Jane Wilson riding.  Runaway Rumor is 6/1.

The Florida Oaks is Gr 3 over 1700m turf.  Ambitieuse, a daughter of Medaglia d'Oro is on 3/1 for Motion-Franco, Alittleloveandluck on 7/2 and we rather like the look of Spicer, by Quality Road,  on 9/2 for Brown and JL Ortiz.

The Tampa Bay Derby is over 1700m and is Gr 2 and here we have Classic Causeway on 8/5 (no prizes for guessing his sire), Major General on 9/2 for Pletcher-Castellano – he's bu
Constitution, Shipsational is5/1 for Barker-Franco and he's by Midshipman and Strike The Heart 8/1 for Williams-Saez for the son of Flashback.

Over at Oaklawn Park the girls (f&m 4+) go round in the Gr 2 Azeri over 1700m with 9 to run.  Some nice horses here with Shedaresthedevil on 5/2 for Cox-Gerault, Ca Ca 3/1 for McCarthy-Espinoza and 7/2 for Pauline's Pearl Asmussen-Prat.

Meantime in the courts in New York Fishman the vet who has been convicted on two felony charges is trying to get them merged into one so that he will only have one sentence and then he may appeal that as well!  And in California the Santa Anita vet Dr Jeff Blea has had his request for a stay of suspension denied.
