The Osaka Hai G1

The second of 4 G1s coming over 4 weeks, the Osaka Hai is over 2000m at Hanshin.

Favourites don't have a good record here and while Efforia was Horse of the Year for 2021, this is his first run for the year and while the stable is very happy with his form, there's some stiff competition here so the odds-on isn't that attractive.

We have been impressed by Jack d'Or, a cleverly-named son of Maurice, as he looks to be improving with every run.  He's on his last 5 including the G2 Kinko Sho and we like him a lot.  Lei Papale won this last year and was second to Jack d'Or in the Kinko Sho and has the fillies' weight advantage here so that 8.8 looks reasonable.

They are the only 3 runners in single-figure odds.
