This is a nice time to explore the Berkshire countryside and take in the Newbury races.

Saturday's card has three G3s starting with the John Porter over 2400mm with 7 to run.  Not much between Ilaraab Haggas-Marquand and Thunderous Johnsons-Soumillon on 2/1.  With a small field we normally wouldn't include a third pick but we are very fond of Red Verdon who resumes here and is on 10/1.

The Fred Darling is for 3yo fillies and is over 1400m.  Godolphin's Wild Beauty, a Frankel daughter, is top pick here for Appleby-Buick on and 6/4.  Jumbly by Gleneagles is 4/1 and Majestic Glory another Frankel is on 13/2.

The Greenham is over 1400m for the 3yo c&g and there are only 6 runners with not much between Angel Blue, a lovely Dark Angel colt – Beckett-Dettori, and Perfect Power by Ardat for Fahey-Soumillon.
