Or why you should never ignore a horse at 40/1

Many moons ago we tipped Red Marauding 40/1 in the English GN and he won – one of only 8 who finished that particular year.  We had obviously not got that lesson in mind on Monday when the Irish GN was run at Fairyhouse.  We did say that we thought the favourite Gaillard De Mesnil had a problem with a heft weight impost, but at least he managed to run third which was more than our other picks.

So all hail Lord Lariat 40/1 winner of the Irish Grand National 2022@
