State of Rest wins G1 Prix Ganay

Last seen out winning the Cox Plate, State of Rest won his third consecutive G1 at Longchamp on Saturday.

By Starspangledbanner and out of the mare Repose he was ridden by Joseph's No. 1 jockey Shane Cross.  They finished ¾ length ahead of Pretty Tiger, who was having his first start for trainer Pia Bandt and went off at a generous 12/1.  Sealiway was a short head away in third with the other fancied runners following on from there.

Earlier The Grand Glory lived up to her name in winning the Prix Allez France from Burgarita.

The Prix de Barbeville saw The Good Man 6/1 win from Bubble Mart and Joie de Soir who had started favourite.  Skazino ran a shocker.
