There's not a great deal to say about today's card

The feature is a Class 2 at Race 3, the Carnation Handicap, over 1400m with 8 runners.

It looks as if Californiadeepshot may have a bit too much weight here despite Tony Cruz  putting up Jerry Chau who claims 5 lbs compared to the stablemate Ima Single Man, the former West Australian who is now showing his talent in Hong Kong.  He's been working well and Zac Purton has the ride so they are favourites on 2.8.

Californiadeepshot is on 4.9, and we also like Silver Express on 7.00 for Size-Borges on 7.0 – he's got a tick of approval from the track work watchers and with 8 runners there will at least be a payout for the first three home.
