All autobhans lead to Baden-Baden

At least this weekend they do and they will again in September.

That's when the two big racing weeks occur.  This weekend there will be the 200th running of the German Derby Trial G3 and on Sunday the Grosser Preis des Badischen Wirtsschaft G2.

Saturday's race sees the 3yos compete over 2000m with a small field of 6 runners.  Querayal is current favourite for Andreas Wöhler and Eduardo Pedroza on 6/4. Wild Man is on 11/4 and Piroux 7/2.

Sunday sees the reappearance of Arc winner Torquator Tasso, with Rene Piechuluk reuniting here for Marcel Weiss.  Torquator Tasso has the Arc again in his sights – there may be a detour to England at some stage but Weiss has said he wants him to reach top form in September-October, not May-June.  Nevertheless he's 6/4 for this 2200m race with only 6 to beat.  Alter Adler is on 3/1 for Hickst -Starke and Best of Lips 7/2 for Suborics-Seidl wuth the in-form stable having won the G2 Mile on Opening Day with Best Lightning).
