Following his third in the July Cup on Saturday Artorius is heading to France.

The race being looked at is the Prix Maurice de Gheest and we are sure he will love it in Deauville where the horses as well as humans head for a dip in the sea in the mornings.

Back at Newmarket is was great to see Jeff Smith's colours salute with Alcohol Free with Andrew Balding putting up Rob Hornby for the G1, and Hornby remarking after that it was not going to be an alcohol free evening.  Naval Crown finished ½ length in front of Artorius with Creative Force back in 4th.

Earlier Isaac Shelby showed promise in winning the Superlative for the 2yos.  Favourite Victory Dancer was second and Dark Thirty our roughie third on 10/1.
