Deauville at its best

The sun shone on Deauville and it was a great start to the Normandy meeting.

The highlight was the G1 Prix Jean Prat where Aidan O'Brien's Tenebrism was able to show her class under Ryan Moore.

Now nobody who knows anything about racing thinks that a jockey's life is easy but consider Ryan Moore who rode at Newmarket on Thursday, Belmont (New York) on Saturday and Deauville on Sunday and was able to come up with the winning ride in the Jean Prat.

There was a surprise second in that race with Light Infantry (David Simcock-Jamie Spencer) running second on 27/1 – he's by Fast Company and that what he seems to like.  Lusail was only a neck away in third with a clean sweep for the raiders.

The G3 Prix de Ris-Orangis went to the favourite Garrus with Batwan 19/1 in second for the home team and Wings of War third.
