The Galway Plate on Wednesday was won by a bargain sale horse who has now repaid his connections hugely.

Hewick started on 16/1 but was steadfast and won from Darassa 10/1 and favourite El Barra.

Thursday's card features the Galway Hurdle where Adamantly Chosen is on 5/1 for Mullins-Townend.  We would like Ballyadam here if he had less weight but we will have to trust Racheal Blackmore to conserve his energy.  Coming into this on a light weight is Gordon Elliiott's The Tide Turns on 14/1 – could be worth a bit of each way.
