J-C Rouget has been very enthusiastic about him and Al Hakeem obliged at Deauville on Monday.

That was in the G2 Guillaume d'Ornano for the 3yos over 2000m, and is an obvious stepping stone to the Arc.  He won by ½ length to Junko with Missed The Cut missing the frame.

The Prix Lieury was a very nice win with Oscula for George Boughey and Ryan Moore as she showed her toughness in hanging on to the lead to win by a neck from By All Means 5/1 and favourite Samahran ½ length away third.  Oscula has had quite a bit of racing but seems to be thriving on it and her trainer praised her fighting spirit.
