Liberty Island is only the 7th horse to accomplish this feat and she managed it fairly easily once Kawada turned into the straight and settled her for the charge home.  Masked Diva did very well to finish just a length back and came home the fastest 600m once she cleared traffic. Harper was third home but lacked the fast finish of the first two, and Dura was the fourth home.

Liberty Island put on a lot of weight while she was on her summer holidays which trainer Nakauchida and his team have been busy getting her to work it off.  She is still around 10 kgs more that earlier in the year but that seems to have gone into muscle and she looks superb.

On Saturday in Tokyo the Ireland Trophy was won by Divina from Rouge Eveil 6/1 and our roughie Lilac third paying more than the winner paid for the win.
