He's by the much lamented Duramente and out of a NZ Oaks winner More Than Sacred and he triumphed over the winners of the two previous legs of the triple crown in Derby Winner Tastiere who was second and Sol Oriens somewhat disappointing in third as the margins were 3 ½ and 1 ½.

Durezza was up in front in the early stages coming from a wide gate and then eased back in the middle stages until Lemaire brought him to the front again and away he went so early speed, ability to settle and fast finishing speed all add up to high hopes for his future.

On Saturday Namur gave Joao Moreira another graded stakes win in the Fuji Stakes over 1400m.  Red Mon Reve was second and So Valiant third.
