Well it was probably the obvious solution regarding the future for Equinox.

He's been retired from racing and will join the stallion roster at Shadai.  As a racehorse he didn't have anything left to prove and is too valuable a prospect in his future career.

We just feel so fortunate to have seen him in two of his top races.

Meanwhile racing continues here with the Sports Nippon Sho Stayers stakes, a G2 over 3,600m at Nakayama. Favourite is King's Reign on 3.3 with visiting English jockey on board.

T O Royal is on 6.2, Meitner Virtus 6.6 and Warp Speed 7.5.

Tomorrow Sunday the focus turns to Chukyo for the running of the Champions Cup G1 over 1800m on dirt, one of the two G1s run on dirt. Seraphic Call is considered to be something special as he lines up for his6th consecutive win.

He's on 3.9 and Micro Demuro has the ride.  Lemon Pop is on 4.1, and Crown Pride who was 2nd in this race last year and recently won the Korea Cup is on 5.0.

T O Keynes won this in 2021 and is on 7.7.  We are going a-bit wider and add Gloria Mundi on 20.4 with Lemaire riding.
