The Centenary Sprint Cup at Sha Tin on Sunday resulted in quite an upset.

Lucky Sweynesse was considered home and hosed before the race but it was not to be: Victor The Winner who has a knack of causing upsets caused one of the biggest in ages when he produced a winning run and could not be caught.  Lucky With You was second 1 ¾ lengths away and Wellington kept on for third.

Purton may have lost out on that race but made up for it with winning rides in 6 other races.

Hugh Bowman had another fall but was able to continue riding but the Stewards considered he had been the agent of the fall and gave him a 3 meeting suspension to add to the other suspension he incurred recently.
