Arsenaal came second and Rouge Suerte third – that's a multilingual name as Rouge is French for red and Suerte Spanish for good luck.

Sunday in Tokyo the feature was the Kyodo News Hai over 1800m also for the 3yos and this went to Justin Milano on 6.6 from last year's top 2yo Jantar Mantar who had firmed in to start favourite.  Power Hall was third on 151.2.

And in Kyoto also on Sunday the big one of the weekend, the G2 Kyoto Kinen over 2200m. Paderia under Izezoe came through for the win with Bellagio Opera second and Babbit third on 82.9.  Rouge Eveil was back in 8th.
