2015 Melbourne Cup - Loresho Late Entry For Aga Khan

Loresho, a French-trained strayer owned the Aga Khan, is among four late entries received today for the $6 million Melbourne Cup.

The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained Loresho has won five of his 11 starts and was placed at his most recent start in the G2 Prix de Deauville (2500m) on August 30.

Loresho’s connections paid the $5500 Melbourne Cup late entry fee on Tuesday.

The other late entries came from Australian trainers Robert Hickmott and Archie Alexander.

Hickmott paid up for the imported stayer Chance To Dance, a winner at Moonee Valley last Saturday, while Alexander nominated Renew and Ruscello.

Weights for the Melbourne Cup will be released on September 15 with first acceptances taken on October 6.
