Fifteen fillies and mares have been nominated for the Group 2 Ronald McDonald House Westmead 2016 Golden Pendant (1400m) at Rosehill on Saturday.
The entry list is headed by Group 1 winner First Seal, who looks to launch her spring campaign in the 2016 Golden Pendant.
A first-up winner of the Millie Fox Stakes in the autumn, First Seal was a recent barrier trial winner and impressed in an exhibition gallop at Randwick on Saturday.Her trainer John Thompson has also entered Zanbagh to resume in the 2016 Golden Pendant, the mare having won the Emancipation Stakes in the autumn.
Peter and Paul Snowden head the 2016 Golden Pendant entry list by numbers with four nominations in Tycoon Tara, Happy Hannah, Ravi and Serene Majesty.Tim Martin has a key nomination for the 2016 Golden Pendant in Sheraco Stakes winner Heavens Above while Pearls is also a stakes winner this spring for John O’Shea.
Queensland mare Sold For Song is entered for the 2016 Golden Pendant for Kevin Kemp while Denmagic comes off a fast-finishing resuming effort for David Pfeiffer.Other key entries include Ammirata, Dixie Blossoms and Unequivocal.
