Battle Hero Joins Gangemi Stable

Group Three winner Battle Hero will be prepared by Ascot-based trainer Chris Gangemi in Perth after being purchased by Black Type Bloodstock for $60,000.

Battle Hero, who was unplaced behind Scales Of Justice in the Hyperion Stakes (Gr 3, 1600m) at Belmont on 17 June, was trained by Geoff Durrant and John Miller at Karnup for Peters Investments.

Battle Hero was sold at the Magic Millions Perth Winter Racehorse and Thoroughbred Sale on Sunday, with owner Bob Peters offloading a big draft of horses headed by Dark Alert and five-year-old gelding Battle Hero.
