RACE 2 (2) Phaistos: He's one of Godolphin's rising talents who is set for his first metropoliutan win after his sterling last start second over 1400m at this course when beaten by Call Me Royal. Lacked the sprint of the winner that day but ran the fastest closing sectionals and is favoured to turn the tables over this extra trip with a 1.5kg turn around in the weights. Imposing individual who should respond well to the strength of his new rider Hugh Bowman.
RACE 4 (10) Waking Moment: Promising staying mare is well placed to match her male rivals over this trip at her third run from a spell after two excellent efforts in her first prep for the Chris Waller stable. Hard to miss her strong finish when second to Toryjoy over 1800m at this course on June 29 and will take beating under these conditions carrying only 51kg after Robbie Dolan's claim.
RACE 7 (5) Gaulois: Cannot see this talented gelding going backwards off his strong last start win the Listed Civic Stakes over 1350m at this course on June 29 when he had the better of a number of rivals in this field. That was his fourth start into this prep and the first time he had struck a seriously affected track since his younger days. He gets a better draw this time on similar ground and his scope for improvement over this extra trip counters the 2kg rise in weight, especially with his liking for Rosehill where he has never been out of the money in seven starts.
