Exciting prospect Pindaric makes his Melbourne debut chasing his seventh win in eight starts at his first try over the 1400m trip.

"I always wanted to get him over 1400m,' Michael Hickmott said.

"He goes there in great form, his only blemish was on a heavy track,'' he said.

R A Lee Stakes winner Lord Vladivostok comes off a last start third placing in the Murray Bridge Gold Cup behind Regalo Di Gaetano who has gone on to win again since.

"His run the other day good and I am sure he will run well,'' Hickmott said.

Last-start maiden winner In In The Darkness tackles the Listed TAB Trophy over 1800m alongside Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle's Knightstown with an eye on the Adelaide Racing Carnival in 2022.

"She's a nice filly,'' Hickmott said.

"I wanted to give her another run over this sort of distance and there wasn't a lot for her in Adelaide.

"The trip away will be great for her and hopefully she can develop into an Oaks filly next season,'' he said.

All three will be ridden by Craig Williams.

And 2019 Goodwood winner Despatch makes his return after more than a year on the sidelines in the Listed Sprint for the Tony and Calvin McEvoy stable.
