2022 CHALLENGE STAKES – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Nature Strip and Eduardo should lock horns early at a strong gallop. The $500,000 Group 2 Challenge Stakes. Looks like being a race in two. NATURE STRIP (1) certainly didn't lose any admirers in the Lightning when getting hampered out of the machine and running Home Affairs to a lip. Gets McDonald back on top now and will strip fitter for that Flemington outing. Looks the testing material.
EDUARDO (2) wasn't disgraced when third in that same race and is one from one over this track and trip. Goes well for Nash who has seven wins and three placings from just 11 steers and looms as the only danger. SPLINTEX (4) is a couple of rungs below the top two but looked good behind Eduardo in a recent trial and can earn some minor money.
SEPTEMBER RUN (7) didn't really come up last campaign but can play a role if she brings her best. TREKKING (3) placed over this course and distance behind Nature Strip in last year's Concorde and will get a soft run from gate two. Maybe a place.
