2022 WINTER CHALLENGE – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS
Moderate pace with Jojo Was A Man and Snippy Fox taking it up. JOJO WAS A MAN (12) only went down narrowly last start when game behind Taksu in the Winter Stakes. Marked up to his peak and continued his great run of form this preparation. Faces stiffer opposition but he is rock hard fit and looks to get every chance on the map.
OSCAR ZULU (9) is the weight horse out of the Winter Stakes and rates very well on his effort two back in the Civic Stakes. No favours with the draw but is certainly capable and looms as the main danger. GOLD TRIP (1) is the big unknown stepping out for his Australian debut. Multiple Group 1 placegetter who will be better over further but was purchased to win the Cox Plate and has a touch of class on his side. Glue on shoes (front) is a little niggle.
MUGATOO (2) hasn't been seen for over 400 days and he too is a bit of an unknown. Three trials should have him forward enough and the booking of Bowman is a nice push.
