2022 TOY SHOW QUALITY - RACE HISTORY AND BACKGROUND

The Toy Show Quality is a Group 3 race run under Quality Handicap conditions for fillies and mares at Randwick conducted by the Australian Turf Club.

The Toy Show Quality is now run over 1100m. It was first run in 1995 and was won by Joie Denise.

The Toy Show Quality has been run at Randwick, Warwick Farm and Canterbury but been at Randwick since 2014.

The Toy Show Quality was upgraded from Listed company to Group 3 in 2013.

The race is named after a former top filly, who won the Golden Slipper, Newmarket Handicap and 1000 Guineas amongst others.

The first winner in 1995 Joie Denise, was out of a top filly Denise's Joy.

Red Tracer is the best winner of the race and went on to win multiple G1s after taking this race in 2011.

Mizzy took out the 2019 renewal and would follow with wins in the Sheraco Stakes and Golden Pendant.

The 2007 race was not held due to the Equine Influenza break out.

The 2022 Toy Show Quality was run for prizemoney of $200,000.

The 2021 Toy Show Quality was won by Fituese from Great News and Tailleur.
