RACE 1 - 12:22PM PFD Foods Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

Imperial Seal ran very well first-up in SA when placed behind Second To Nun at Morphettville before running down the track behind Who's Clang. Barend and the good gate make him the one to beat here. Shosanna has been favourite at all three runs the latest when 4th behind Willaston at Balaklava. She draws a good gate and looks the obvious danger. Velvet Star is a former NSW galloper first-up in SA and has placed at 7 of 15. Variara has been placed at 2 of his past 3.

SELECTIONS: 2 IMPERIAL SEAL, 8 Shosanna, 9 Velvet Star, 4 Variara
PLAY: Something on IMPERIAL SEAL.

RACE 2 - 12:57PM Chalk Hill Three-Years-Old Fillies Maiden Plate (1100 METRES)

Zebella was placed behind Nishikado at Gawler on debut before a nice run when 3rd behind Eros on the Parks back in July. She has trialled nicely for this and looks the one to beat. MULHALL was very good first-up from a spell when 3rd behind Our Shining Star and should take plenty of benefit out of that. She looks the danger. Inferthefight is on debut for Darren McLeod, has trialled-up well and gets blinkers for her debut. Looks Like A Lady resumes and has shown ability.

SELECTIONS: 10 ZEBELLA, 7 Mulhall, 4 Inferthefight, 6 Looks Like A Lady
PLAY: Keen on ZEBELLA.

RACE 3 - 1:32PM The Junction Handicap (1600 METRES)

Hopon Harry was a good winner beating Oh Mo three starts back. He dropped in trip and was a touch flat footed before and then solid at 1800m last time. Wild Imagination won that race and chases three wins on end. He looks perfectly drawn, well weighted but the drop in trip might be against. Dr Dee Dee was smashed in betting before proving too good at Bordertown last time and he looks again well placed. Magnetic Edge is racing well, and Fulton Street can improve down in the weights.

SELECTIONS: 7 WILD IMAGINATION, 2 Hopon Harry, 4 Dr Dee Dee, 3 Magnetic Edge
PLAY: Watching on.

RACE 4 - 2:07PM New Years Eve at Morphettville - Saturday December 31st Handicap (1050 METRES)

Jean Valjean was very good landing some good bets to win first-up for the Will Clarken stable. He gets in nicely here and should get a nice run in a race where there should be good tempo. That will come from Queman who draws a nice gate and stuck on well first-up behind Jean Valjean, Hallowed Ground is another who will ride the speed with all three Victorian wins coming in front. He's trialled nicely and is going to make his presence felt. Larkham took ground of Jean Valjean last time and maps to get a nice run in transit. He gets a 2.5kg weight swing here and looks a big threat.

SELECTIONS: 3 JEAN VALJEAN, 2 Larkham, 1 Hallowed Ground, 4 Queman
PLAY: Staying with JEAN VALJEAN.

RACE 5 - 2:42PM Adelaide Galvanising Industries Handicap (1600 METRES)

Tricky race. THE RED KITE is a watch with the blinkers going on again here. He was set out favourite at Donald last start draws a god gate and gets Barend to ride. They went up $9 early which was quickly snapped up. EXALTED FIRE has been racing well and was game running 2nd behind Eagles Forever at Gawler last time. He draws a nice gate and gets the claim. LORD WONDER comes out of the same race running 3rd and must be respected again. FOX GEM has been racing well and gets in well here after the claim. RECREANT comes off a Murray Bridge win beating Whiskey 'N' Women and the stable is having a nice run. WHISKEY 'N' WOMEN is racing well and was a Balaklava three starts back and must be respected again.

PLAY: Happy watching on.

RACE 6 - 3:22PM Thomas Farms Supporting SAROA Handicap (1100 METRES)

Another open race. OUR HEiDI resumes here and has trialled well for her return. She has placed at 2 of 3 first-up runs and maps well from a middle gate. JAAZEB was OK first-up from a spell behind Viduka at Gawler and has claims from the wide gate. BRAZANO is a nice type first-up here, MISS MIDUKI draws a nice gate with no weight, NO ENTITLEMEMT comes off a Strathalbyn maiden.

SELECTIONS: 1 OUR HEIDI, 2 Jaazeb, 5 Brazano, 10 No Entitlement
PLAY: Something on BRAZANO each-way (2/3).

RACE 7 - 4:02PM Grand Syndicates Handicap (1100 METRES)

TAN TAT BEAU is chasing three on end here. He was too good for Foxy Femme last time and that's good form for this. He draws a gate and gets in OK after the claim. BAJAN BELLE was a Gawler winner two starts back and then followed with a handy effort behind The Magistrate. She'll be handy from the good barrier and must be respected. ONIKA comes off an Ararat win beating Coastal Town and should measure-up in a race like this. SABERMATIC looked very good bolting in on a soft track three starts back before being fair his past couple. This looks a suitable race, and he can figure. DANISH FORTUNE is racing in great form and should be in the mix from a good middle gate. CORK HARBOUR is a last-start winner who must be respected. INDIAN GAZELLE has ability and could be a knockout at big odds.

SELECTIONS: 1 TAN TAT BEAU, 4 Bajan Belle, 5 Onika, 6 Sabermatic
PLAY: Small place bet on INDIAN GAZELLE.

RACE 8 - 4:42PM Fleurieu Milk Company Handicap (2022 METRES)

BADONKIDONK is lightly raced and comes off a good win beating Swankytoff, who has won again since. He has a nice record and stable is going well. KYSHASKA couple be an improver third-up here. She has talent and should be ready to improve in a race like this. UNDERSTATEMENT looks another who can improve here up in trip, and he was good running 2nd behind Residue. AUSSIE SOJOURN was 4th in the Residue race last time and she as a handy record. BALLROOM DANCER maps to get a nice run. CARRY THE MUSKET will be strong late.

SELECTIONS: 4 BADONKIDONK, 6 Kyshaka, 11 Undertstatement, 8 Aussie Sojourn
PLAY: Something on KYSHAKA each-way.

RACE 9 - 5:22PM Aramis Vineyards Handicap (1200 METRES)

WONDERWOMEN is a former NSW galloper who was good first-up in SA when 4th behind Jean Valjean. She maps well and looks a factor here on consecutive Hawkesbury wins in June. INSPIRIED SUN looks an improver here second-up from a spell His form last time in was very good and he's 2 from 4 second-up. ZACOUVER is a former Victorian now with the Alexander stable and was placed at Kilmore last start. She was specked at odds. TUPOLEU has been racing well in stronger races, KENYAN WONDER would have run fav in a race like this but has been winless for more than a year and VICTORY CLUB has been on the heels of the placegetters.

SELECTIONS: 9 WONDERWOMEN, 3 Inspired Sun, 14 Zacouver, 13 Tupoleu
PLAY: Something on INSPIRED SUN (2/3).
