Racing Rewards enhancing Validated's value

Promising three-year-old Validated can claim the title of the Racing Rewards SA pin-up horse for season 2022-23 if he can claim the $102,250 Racing Rewards SA Qualified Three-year-old Plate (1200m) at Murray Bridge on Saturday.

The Peter and Belinda Blanch-trained galloper has proven a bargain buy for connections.

Plucked for $40,000 from the Adelaide Magic Millions Sale, Validated has banked connections $162,355 in prizemoney - $66,900 of that coming in Racing Rewards SA bonuses.

Validated won consecutive races at Morphettville and Morphettville Parks in March before running down the track at Oakbank which prompted the stable to send the horse for a break with this race in their sights.

"He's prepped up really well for what I will say is a very strong race,'' Peter Blanch said.

"We've obviously targeted this race for him, his trial the other day was good and he's in good shape for his return,'' he said.

Likewise Jon O'Connor's Rockstar Meggsy, who was a $35,000 purchase from the same sale, is another horse who has cashed in on bonuses with $67,200 of her $173,250 in prizemoney coming in the form of Racing Rewards.

Shane and Cassie Oxlade's Sghirripa shares favouritism at $4.60 on tab.com.au with the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained Klabel, who is one of four runners in the race for SA's leading stable.

Jake Toeroek rides Klabel, Todd Pannell takes the ride on Noble Magnate, Pompeii Empire will be ridden by Callan Murray while apprentice Alana Livesey will partner the outsider of their quartet in Our Shining Star who is a $34 chance.
