At time of writing on Monday, the track was rated a Soft 6 but the possibility of afternoon thunderstorms each day threatens to have a say on the racing surface.

We've provided our best bet for each of the six races below.

RACE 1 - 3:48PM: QTIS Three-Year-Old BENCHMARK 68 Handicap (1350 METRES)

Miss Sha Blue (3) has come back this preparation in fine style.

The Glenn Thornton-trained daughter of Better Than Ready worked to the line powerfully when resuming at Lismore to win her maiden over 1106m.

She then stepped up to this level and ran on well to overhaul Femme Fatale to win narrowly over 1200m at Doomben.

Both wins were on rain-affected tracks which is likely to be the surface she encounters here.

1 Unit – Miss Sha Blue (3)

BET NOW: Ipswich Race 1

RACE 2 - 4:23PM: Class 3 Handicap (1690 METRES)

Whisky Dream (1) is low flying for Kevin Kemp and enters this race looking to make it three wins in a row.

The four-year-old gelding bolted in two starts back over 1640m at Doomben before proving that was no fluke by again charging to the line for a dominant 2.8 length victory.

There was plenty of merit in his last start win given he was found to be lame post-race.

He's been given three weeks to get over that run and looks ideally placed here with Cejay Graham claiming 1.5kg.

2 Units – Whisky Dream (1)

BET NOW: Ipswich Race 2

RACE 3 - 4:58PM: QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Plate (1690 METRES)

Electric Tigress (8) was very good in her first start for Tony Gollan after previously racing with Ciaron Maher in Sydney.

The Encryption filly ran on strongly but just couldn't get past Surreal I Am when finishing second over 1650m at Doomben.

Sharp Dazzler was 1.5 lengths behind her and he has gone on to win his next two races.

She was seven weeks between runs so will strip fitter and Jimmy Orman takes the ride.

1 Unit – Electric Tigress (8)

BET NOW: Ipswich Race 3

RACE 4 - 5:33PM: Class 5 Handicap (1100 METRES)

Jemeldi (2) has been racing well this preparation and looks well placed to continue that here.

The Ryan Tyrell-trained son of Winning Rupert opened this preparation with two close seconds before taking on open class horses in her next two starts.

He bounced back last start when giving a big sight in a $100k race at the Sunshine Coast where he finished third by 1.4 lengths.

He draws beautifully here for Kyle Wilson-Taylor who should be able to settle in a prominent position.

1 Unit – Jemeldi (2)

BET NOW: Ipswich Race 4

RACE 5 - 6:10PM: Maiden Plate (1350 METRES)

Torabella (12) is set to make her debut following two very good trials this time in work.

The Tony Gollan-trained three-year-old filly sat three deep in her first trial at Deagon over 1050m before working to the line well to win by a nose.

She improved in her second trial when powerfully finishing off to win comfortably at the Sunshine Coast.

Angela Jones was aboard in both trials and will take the race ride.

1 Unit – Torabella (12)

BET NOW: Ipswich Race 5

RACE 6 - 6:45PM: Class 1 Handicap (1350 METRES)

To Wish (5) is well placed to go back-to-back after impressing last start.

Following a solid debut performance, the Tony Gollan-trained mare worked home strongly over 1200m at Doomben to finish a head second.

Last start blinkers went on the daughter of Fastnet Rock and she easily won over 1200m at Eagle Farm.

The rise to 1350m looks ideal now given she's at peak fitness fourth-up.

2 Units – To Wish (5)

BET NOW: Ipswich Race 6
