Arsenal vs Porto tips: Gunners to overturn first-leg deficit

Arsenal will be looking to bag a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals when they welcome FC Porto to the Emirates stadium on Tuesday night (2000 GMT).

The Gunners enter this European fixture on a massive high after lifting themselves to the top of the Premier League table.

A win over Brentford and a draw between Man City and Liverpool has moved Mikel Arteta's men to the summit. With just 10 games remaining in the league, fans are beginning to dream.

Question is, with Arsenal keeping one eye on their domestic aspirations, where does the Champions League rank on their list of priorities?

The Gunners enter the second leg of their round-of-16 clash with FC Porto trailing the Portuguese outfit by a goal.

A last gasp strike from Galeno gave Porto the 1-0 advantage, though that may not be enough to get them through the reverse leg.

The Gunners have won their last four matches at the Emirates, scoring 14 goals along the way.

What's more, FC Porto's last three visits to the ground all ended with disappointing defeats – including a 5-0 thrashing last time out.

Bearing in mind their solid form at home, we're backing Arsenal to turn on the style and seal their place in the quarter-finals.

Kai Havertz has now scored in three successive games and the German will be looking for more if he features.

Arsenal to win and Havertz to score is our betting recommendation ahead of a big European night at the Emirates.

Team news

The Gunners will be without Jurrien Timber who remains on the sidelines. There are also doubts over Gabriel Martinelli and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

FC Porto, meanwhile, will be missing Ivan Marcano, Mehdi Taremi and Zaidu.
