RACE 1 - 11:30AM: ATC Bookmakers Recognition Day Handicap (1100m)

Pisces can make a winning return to the races in the first at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Godolphin galloper stamped himself as one to watch with a smart win on debut at Kembla Grange in December and went to the paddock after finishing third behind Straight Charge and Erno's Cube at Randwick.

I'm expecting that form to hold up in something of this quality.

RACE 2 - 12:05PM: Midway Handicap (1100m)

Happy to give Everyone's A Star another chance when she steps out at Rosehill this week.

Everyone's A Star recorded consecutive wins in BM72 company on the Kensington course at Randwick before finishing a credible seventh in the Group 2 Sapphire Stakes last time out.

Marc Chevalier's horses are flying, and Everyone's A Star will relish this drop in class.

RACE 3 - 12:40PM: Phillip Picone Handicap (1500m)

Green Shadows returned a winner at the midweeks earlier this month and can go on with it at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Menari gelding has turned in some smart performances throughout seventeen trips to the races, but I thought that his first-up run this time was amongst his best.

His second-up record is very good and with even luck, I can't find a reason why he won't be in the finish.

RACE 4 - 1:15PM: Highway Handicap (1100m)

Martini Mumma has recorded two wins from as many starts this time and can continue her rise through the grades in this week's Highway race.

The Pariah filly blew them away in maiden company first-up at Wagga, but she was even more impressive when greeting the judge six lengths ahead of her rivals in BM58 company last time out.

Fitter third-up, something like this looks the next logical step for her.

RACE 5 - 1:50PM: Dennis Jamieson Handicap (1300m)

Open race with plenty of winning chances engaged, including Miss Hades.

Miss Hades has made just six appearances at the races since debuting, but she has more than stamped herself as one to watch by winning four times and filling the minors on the two other occasions.

She was eye-catching in her first run back from a break and will only improve for that effort.

RACE 6 - 2:25PM: Hot Rod & Custom Show Handicap (1200m)

Let's Try is another last-start winner that looks capable of making it two in a row at Rosehill on Saturday.

Let's Try was a strong and consistent performer last time in, winning a couple of nice races and finding form around some quality opposition.

Having picked up where he left off at Newcastle, he's open to plenty of improvement and progression back through the grades.

RACE 7 - 3PM: Farewell James Ross Sprint (1100m)

Kazou makes her return to the races in a very winnable one at Rosehill this week.

The Chris Waller-trained mare has won four of eight starts since debuting, placing a further three times, and she returned to action with an impressive performance and win in BM78 company at Randwick last time in.

She has found form around some strong black type-quality horses recently and this looks a perfect kick-off point for her.

RACE 8 - 3:35PM: Vale Lonhro Handicap (1500m)

Jimmysstar was popular in betting prior to his race being abandoned at Randwick last week, and I am confident that he is still the one to beat this week.

The bubble did burst a little when he finished down the order as an odds-on favourite in the Newcastle Newmarket last month, but Jimmysstar's form in Australia prior to that was outstanding, and almost faultless.

I like that he has been freshened, and something like this remains well within his abilities.

RACE 9 - 4:15PM: Matt Behrmann Handicap (1800m)

Andalus was good through the line in his first run back from a break and looms as a genuine each-way chance at Rosehill this week.

The Almanzor gelding turned in some fine performances last year, his first preparation in Australia, and he kept on coming behind Bethencourt in BM94 company at Gosford when resuming.

With natural improvement, something like this looks within his abilities, and we can have an each way play at the price.

RACE 10 - 4:50PM: Luke Lucas Handicap (1300m)

Starman has been racing in consistent form this time and looms as a genuine each way chance again on Saturday.

He hasn't missed placing at his last four appearances, and I like that he has been kept up to the mark with a trial since his last appearance.
